A |     Actor Shaad Randhawa has had quite an eventful 2025 with three releases in the year. Two of them turned out to be big blockbusters with Saiyaara and Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat creating a storm at the box office. Taking that momentum forward, the actor has now signed another big film with a legacy production house.     Shaad will next be seen in filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya's next directorial, featuring Ayushmann Khurrana in the lead. This marks his first collaboration with the Barjatyas, and the actor has already started shooting for the film.          Shaad informs, “All I can say is that this is a completely different role from anything I’ve portrayed before. This film is extremely special to me, as it has always been a dream to work with Sooraj ji. I am deeply grateful to Sooraj ji and Mukesh Chhabra bhai for giving me this opportunity.”          While details of the films are being kept under wraps, Ayushmann had recently revealed that he plays the role of Prem in the film, and it is a bit different from the brand of family entertainers that Sooraj Barjatya is known for. The film has a beautiful message without being preachy, and the genre of the film lies somewhere in the middle of Sooraj Barjatya’s and Ayushmann Khurrana's kinds of films.                                                                 View this post on Instagram          A post shared by Shaad Randhawa (@shaadrandhawa)                              During an interview with News 18 earlier, Ayushmann talked about his character in the film and said, "You will be actually surprised that in Sooraj Barjatya’s film, the world is simpler and softer. Prem is the character who is simple, soft and a green flag. I would like to explore that part again.”     Ayushmann Khurrana and Sharvari are set to co-star for the first time in Sooraj Barjatya's upcoming romantic family entertainer. The film is set to be produced by Rajshri Productions and Mahaveer Jain Films.          Also Read: Exclusive: Shaad Randhawa on Reconnecting With Audiences Through Saiyaara & More。    Vijay Deverakonda's next, directed by filmmaker Ravi Kiran Kola, is being produced by Dil Raju via Sri Venkateswara Creations. While the movie's rumoured title (Rowdy Janardhan) will be made official a few days from now, the director's confessional "note" has piqued interest in the character being essayed by the Geetha Govindam and Kingdom star.               Flawed, angry and wounded     I have been waiting for a long time to tell this story about a man. I found him in my memory. He is very personal, and I have watched him and grown up seeing him. He is not perfect, but he is real. Flawed, angry, wounded - and more than I hated him, I loved him. This story had to be told. You will meet him," the director shared.     "Flawed, angry, wounded" is what Vijay's character is going to be in the year 2026 release. Since Vijay has not played such a character in years (his character was wounded in Kingdom but it was not flawed), the characterization is expected to be layered. Strained relationships involving a complicated yet self-assured adult might be portrayed in the film. Themes of forgiveness, trauma, growth, and the complexity of love in imperfect domestic settings make for delectable stories. Rowdy Janardhan could well be one. Keerthy Suresh is the film's heroine.               Vijay working on two films simultaneously     The film's director, Kola, has previously made Raja Vaaru Rani Gaaru and that was six years ago. Vijay Deverakonda is also acting in a movie directed by Taxiwala and Shyam Singha Roy fame Rahul Sankrityan. Since the story is set in Rayalaseema region, this one is a first for the actor. Rashmika Mandanna is its female lead.
